Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • The analyst will monitor key Utility, CleanTech, and Renewable industry trends and support the evaluation of existing and potential new businesses.
  • Assist in creating presentations or communicating Con Edison's strategies to key executive stakeholders.
  • Take supporting roles on cross-functional projects and perform data analyses, project support, and modeling in areas related to technologies, scenario development, or other areas of the Company's long-range planning efforts.
  • Assist in the developing of financial models for Con Edison's corporate strategy, including potential partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, JVs, or divestitures.
  • Provide modeling, research, and analysis to help evaluate growth opportunities and advise Con Edison management on major project proposals and initiatives.
  • The analyst will research key inputs and assumptions needed for actionable insights and support management decision-making in Con Edison's regulated business areas and other opportunities.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree And two years of relevant work experience

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Master's Degree In Business, Mathematics, Economics, or Engineering (including environmental and sustainability-related areas).

Relevant Work Experience

  • Ability to structure problems and solutions, and the ability to work independently. Required
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, flexible to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, etc.) Required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Required
  • Data analysis or financial modeling experience. Preferred
  • Experience in utilities and business strategy. Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Driver's License Required
  • Other: Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
  • Other: Must be able to travel when required.
