Core Responsibilities

• The Department Manager will build and oversee a team of product owners to support various Customer Energy Solutions (CES) product teams and help lead Con Ed and O&R to the clean energy future using advanced data and digital products. The Department Manager, Digital Products will work with multiple agile teams to develop and manage the overall product vision, strategy and roadmaps to integrate various distributed energy resources (DER). The Product Team is responsible to ensure that the product is built with the end customer in mind. The team must have or develop a deep understanding of the CES and business processes and programs as well as how they will inform and evolve our clean energy future.
• Build, develop and lead a team of project managers, technical leads or product owners to enhance CES processes and the customer experience.
• Accountable for product and feature road maps and prioritization for agile teams within CES.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders (such as DPS, NYSERDA, NYC, DER vendors, etc.) to identify and implement best practices across CES's spectrum of offerings including Energy Efficiency, Demand Response, DER integration, NY's centralized integrated energy data resource (IEDR), etc.
• Plan, execute, monitor, track, manage risks and issues and report on projects using traditional and Agile development processes and techniques.
• Track and communicate team value, velocity and sprint/release progress to all affected teams and management using Agile estimating techniques.
• Responsible for agile teams oversight from business perspective and project management leadership role.
• Where appropriate, work with product owners and technical teams to facilitate all Agile ceremonies including, Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, Grooming, and Sprint and Release planning.
• Work with product owners and technical teams to properly analyze business requirements to develop and define high-level epics and stories to create a prioritized Product Backlog.
• Work with project manager, technical teams and product owners to ensure risks, issues and status are properly managed.
• Work with project manager and product owners to develop and maintain project plans, resource utilization schedules and budget materials.
• Conduct research and analysis to determine business trends, forecasts and benchmarking with utilities and other businesses related to web, mobile and App use and development.
• Work with project manager, testing teams and product owners to conduct testing associated with changes to business processes and systems, including development of detailed test plans and test cases, execution of testing, documentation of findings, and working with business and technical staff to resolve identified issues.
• Initiate and implement program improvements across governance and intake processes.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders to provide prompt resolution to customer, regulatory bodies and other stakeholder inquiries and collaborations relating to CES.
• Interface with various company groups to execute and implement projects.
• Support Company and State Climate Leadership Community Protection Act (CLCPA) goals.
• Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or
• Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Engineering or Computer Science and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

Relevant Work Experience

• 5-7 years Work experience as a technical lead, testing lead, product owner, with agile project management, or customer experience management Required and
• 5-7 years Experience with Microsoft office applications, including proficiency with Excel Required and
• 5-7 years Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities Required and
• 5-7 years Must have excellent oral and written communications skills Required and
• 3-5 years Experience in producing formal presentations and documentation for executive and regulatory share out Required and
• 5-7 years Good technical knowledge of Energy Efficiency electric, gas, and steam operations Required or
• 5-7 years Experience in IT, energy efficiency, distributed energy resources, or electrification programs Required or
• 3-5 years Familiar with New York State's Reforming the Energy Vision and CLCPA Required or
• 3-5 years Strong data and analytics experience Preferred or
• 3-5 years Strong financial skills Preferred or

• Driver's License Required

• Must sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift

• Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
