Core Responsibilities
- Candidate must become proficient with use of work management system Maximo for time reporting and work order tracking.
- Perform general maintenance of buildings.
- Operates minor hand and power tools and performs general maintenance.
- Performs basic lighting and wiring tasks.
- Performs snow/ice removal with manual and powered snow/ice removal equipment and performs general maintenance.
- Performs basic plumbing and pipe fitting tasks.
- Performs basic carpentry tasks.
- Performs basic troubleshooting on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
- General understanding of the basics of electrical, plumbing/mechanical diagrams, blueprints, maps, and schematics.
- Performs basic PC based functions to access, retrieve, enter, and or verify job related information.
- Candidate engages in tasks supporting the operation and maintenance of company facilities including but not limited to, warehouses, garages, office spaces, production environments, and associated outdoor spaces.
- Candidate works constructively and collaboratively in a team environment, supporting a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment.

Required Education/Experience
Relevant Work Experience
- 3-5 years Building trades and ability to read schematics and engineering prints Required and
- Less than 2 years Experience using electronic work management platforms such as Maximo for time entry and updates to work orders Preferred

- Other: S-12 Citywide Sprinkler Certificate of Fitness 180 Days Preferred and
- Other: F-01 Citywide Fireguard for Impairment 180 Days Preferred and
- Other: S-95 Citywide Supervision of Fire Alarm 180 Days Preferred and
- Other: C-92 Supervision of Flammable Combustible Liquids 180 Days Preferred and
- Other: C-60 Fireguard Torch Operations 180 Days Preferred and
- Other: G-60 Torch Use for Flammable Gas 180 Days Preferred and
- Other: EPA Universal Technician 1 Year Required and
- Other: A-35 Citywide Supervision of Air Compressors 1 Year Preferred and
Physical Demands
- Must respond to system emergencies
- Must work at field locations in all weather conditions
- Must perform extended driving through heavy traffic and severe off-road conditions
- Must perform heavy manual labor; i.e. pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must carry tools and materials, climb ladders and scaffolds, and enter confined spaces
- Must work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)
- Must work with and in the vicinity of high voltage and/or other high-energy systems
- Must be approved and able to wear either a full- or half-face respirator without facial hair or other condition that may interfere with the seal, in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Must walk, stand, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach
- Must use hand tools and operate heavy equipment,i.e. jackhammers
- Must wear all necessary personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including; fire retardant clothing and safety harness
- Must work with equipment with manufacturer weight rating of 350 llbs.
- Must be able to use equipment with a maximum weight rating of 375 lbs when wearing and/or carrying 25lbs of clothing and equipment.
