Core Responsibilities

• Design, and architect highly reliable virtualized or hyperconverged infrastructure, enterprise storage arrays
• Present proposed architecture designs to IT leadership teams and/or the business; make technical recommendations for high availability virtualization technologies ensuring infrastructure environments support cybersecurity standards and requirements
• Assess current and future data center capacity requirements and develop a 5-yr infrastructure plan
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data center projects or infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, networking equipment, and hardware installations
• Implement best practices for storage management, SAN/NAS protocols, and data deduplication including capacity planning, provisioning, performance optimization, and data migration
• Author, review, and evaluate technical documents and collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure that infrastructure meets business requirements
• Provide operational expertise surrounding the health, security, and performance of platform systems
• Provide technical support to resolve complex system issues for timely resolution
• Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical systems and data
• Provide training and guidance to IT run teams on implemented technologies
• Must be available to work off-hours as required to support deployments or respond to corporate emergencies
• Perform other related tasks and assignments as required

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's Degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering a minimum of (3) years of IT experience or
• Associate's Degree Bachelor's Degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering and a minimum of (5) years of IT experience or
• High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of (7) years of IT experience

Relevant Work Experience

• Deep experience of converged infrastructure, hyper-converged infrastructure, virtualization, enterprise storage arrays, backup, and disaster recovery Required
• Implemented virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Nutanix Acroplis Required
• Implemented automation tools such as Hashicorp Terraform, vRealize Automation/Orchestration, Nutanix CALM Required
• Advanced knowledge of virtualization and storage engineering, preferably Cisco System CI, Dell technologies and Nutanix HCI and Vmware Required
• Monitored and responded to infrastructure incidents, troubleshooting, and conducted root cause analysis Required
• Used scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and task scheduling Required
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, FTP, SSH, and other internet protocols Required
• Administered enterprise SAN infrastructure in corporate environments Required
• Working knowledge of backup and recovery procedures to ensure database availability, protection from data loss, and restoration through disaster recovery procedures Required

• Well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.

• Driver's License Required

Physical Demands

• Must push, pull, lift up to 40 pounds
• Must sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift
• Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to use hands for entire shift
• Must stoop, bend, reach and kneel throughout the workday
• Must be able to read small print and symbols.

Other Physical Demands

• Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as a hard hat, gloves, and safety shoes when required
