Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for incident response, especially relating to third party vendor compromise
  • Coordinate major vulnerability response
  • Use an understanding of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK to prioritize, track, and remediate vulnerabilities
  • Lead cyber threat intelligence activities
  • Develop strategy and roadmaps for cybersecurity automation
  • Strategize purple teaming activities and implement remediations
  • Work with tool admins to perform detection engineering and improve alert fidelity
  • Develop strategy and roadmaps for the cyber security operations center
  • Work with industry groups to provide expert feedback and intel sharing
  • Maintain up to date awareness of energy sector cyber threats and intel
  • Communicate and brief stakeholders on intel, incidents, and projects as needed
  • Lead other relevant cybersecurity projects
  • Ensures 24x7x365 support and on-call on a rotating schedule

Required Education/Experience

  • Master's Degree Preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and a minimum of (2) years of IT or related experienc or
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and a minimum of (3) years of IT or related experience or
  • Associate's Degree Preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and a minimum of (5) years of IT or related experienc or
  • High School Diploma/GED Preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and with a minimum of (7) years of IT or related experience

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Master's Degree Preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and a minimum of (3) years of IT or related experience

Relevant Work Experience

  • Leading or supporting cybersecurity operations, or other leadership role in information technology managing a small to medium size workgroup
  • Practical knowledge and familiarity of security information and event management (SIEM)
  • Ensuring compliance with operating policies and procedures for incident, problem and change management
  • Understanding of control center networks and control systems design
  • Critical thinking, root cause and data analysis, and problem solving
  • Effectively collaborating with other IT groups, business, and understanding customers' needs
  • Moderate to advanced experience using Microsoft Excel, Visio, Project and other Office tools

  • Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Driver's License Required

Physical Demands

  • Must push, pull, lift up to 40 pounds
  • Must sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift
  • Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to use hands for entire shift
  • Must stoop, bend, reach and kneel throughout the workday
  • Must be able to read small print and symbols.

Other Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
