Core Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for incident response, especially relating to third party vendor compromise
- Coordinate major vulnerability response
- Use an understanding of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK to prioritize, track, and remediate vulnerabilities
- Lead cyber threat intelligence activities
- Develop strategy and roadmaps for cybersecurity automation
- Strategize purple teaming activities and implement remediations
- Work with tool admins to perform detection engineering and improve alert fidelity
- Develop strategy and roadmaps for the cyber security operations center
- Work with industry groups to provide expert feedback and intel sharing
- Maintain up to date awareness of energy sector cyber threats and intel
- Communicate and brief stakeholders on intel, incidents, and projects as needed
- Lead other relevant cybersecurity projects
- Ensures 24x7x365 support and on-call on a rotating schedule
Required Education/Experience
- Master's Degree Preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and a minimum of (2) years of IT or related experienc or
- Bachelor's Degree Preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and a minimum of (3) years of IT or related experience or
- Associate's Degree Preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and a minimum of (5) years of IT or related experienc or
- High School Diploma/GED Preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and with a minimum of (7) years of IT or related experience
Preferred Education/Experience
- Master's Degree Preferably in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science and a minimum of (3) years of IT or related experience
Relevant Work Experience
- Leading or supporting cybersecurity operations, or other leadership role in information technology managing a small to medium size workgroup
- Practical knowledge and familiarity of security information and event management (SIEM)
- Ensuring compliance with operating policies and procedures for incident, problem and change management
- Understanding of control center networks and control systems design
- Critical thinking, root cause and data analysis, and problem solving
- Effectively collaborating with other IT groups, business, and understanding customers' needs
- Moderate to advanced experience using Microsoft Excel, Visio, Project and other Office tools

- Ability to lead/manage others
- Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Demands
- Must push, pull, lift up to 40 pounds
- Must sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift
- Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to use hands for entire shift
- Must stoop, bend, reach and kneel throughout the workday
- Must be able to read small print and symbols.
Other Physical Demands
- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
