Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Specialist 1H:
  • Host project workshops.
  • Gather all relevant data for component specification drafting.
  • Gather and recommend changes to regional engineering layout work process.
  • Sr Specialist 2L:
  • Lead the project workshops.
  • Provide final approval for component specification.
  • Oversee and recommend redesign of regional engineering layout work process.
  • Lead communication point between Con Edison and Schneider Electric/RAMTeCH for designer tasks associated with designer roll out and integration activities.
  • Primary communication point between Con Edison and the System Integrator for system implementation and testing activities.
  • Specialist 1H and Sr Specialist:
  • Support with the development of reports and presentations to company employees, including executives and all levels of management, as well as regulatory parties and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in production rollout efforts.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree And three years' relevant work experience Specialist (1H) Or
  • Master's Degree And two years' relevant work experience Specialist (1H)
  • Bachelor's Degree And five years' relevant work experience Senior Specialist (2L) Or
  • Master's Degree And three years' relevant work experience Senior Specialist (2L)

Required Work Experience

  • Three years (Specialist 1H) and five years (Sr Specialist 2L) of experience working in the Electric Operations mapping systems such as M&S maps, feeder prints and C&DO/Conduit maps as well as microstation,
  • ProjectWise layouts applications and WMS system.
  • Three years (Specialist 1H) or five years (Sr Specialist 2L) of experience and a proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Prior experience with handling and managing large projects
  • Strong leadership skills required
  • Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
  • Experience in Project Management such as work planning, status reporting, issue / risk management and presentation
  • Experience in leading and facilitating meetings, discussions and workshops
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Works well independently as well as part of a large team
  • Prior Engineering experience required

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion
  • Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines

Licenses & Certifications

  • Driver's License Required

Other Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed
